At Crays, we’ve embraced the association model for Crays DAO to merge the decentralized principles of a DAO with the legal framework of a Swiss non-profit, ensuring transparency, inclusivity, and stability.
This hybrid structure empowers members to collaboratively shape the future through on-chain voting, making decisions on resource allocation, project development, and ecosystem growth.
By removing centralized leadership, Crays DAO fosters true community ownership, driving collective innovation and sustainable progress, while creating a trusted environment for all stakeholders.
Value Through Leadership and Community Governance
Crays envisions an automated DAO in the future, but current legislative and technological limitations make this unfeasible at present.
Currently, leadership in Crays DAO is shared between the President, who oversees strategy and representation, and the General Secretary, who manages operations and implements governance decisions.Governance is led by the DAO General Assembly, where members elect leadership, amend bylaws, and allocate resources. The Advisory Council offers strategic guidance, while the Executive Board executes resolutions, manages tokenized assets, and supports operations. Specialized committees focus on ethics, financial oversight, tokenization, and community development.
Crays is starting with a Swiss Association for legal stability, while paving the way for a future automated DAO that empowers our community with decentralized governance.

The Crays DAO Association is structured around several key governing bodies to ensure transparent and efficient operations.
At the top is the DAO General Assembly, the highest decision-making authority, where all members collaborate on electing leadership, amending bylaws, and allocating funds.
The Advisory Council, composed of representatives from membership groups and industry experts, provides strategic guidance and oversight.
The Executive Board handles the implementation of assembly decisions, manages tokenized assets, and oversees daily operations.
To address specific needs, Specialized Committees focus on critical areas, including Ethics and Governance, Financial Oversight, Tokenization, and Community Development.
Additionally, Auditors may be appointed to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
